Converting a mesh with no settings
Not every .3mf was sliced. One built from an STL or OpenSCAD file carries a
mesh and nothing else, and Converting a file still works
on it.
Converting a mesh with no settings
Convert still works on a mesh-only file: pick a target and it writes that
slicer's own stock printer, filament and process. Until you pick one, the
origin badge reads Mesh only, every rig row's source cell shows a dash, and
the lead line says so:
No print settings in this file. Convert writes the target's stock
printer, filament and process. Pin your own below.

The filament and process come from that printer's own declared defaults.
Converting into Bambu Studio anchors on Bambu PLA Basic and 0.20mm Standard, and the Notes table names each pick:

Cura is the exception: it resolves the quality Cura itself would stack for the printer's nozzle and material, instead of one flat default.
In Changes, the conversion reads:

Placement with no source bed
A mesh-only file has no plate either. Its parts keep their spacing to each
other, but the whole group moves onto the target bed: centred in x and y,
lowest point at z = 0. The Notes table names it too:

Pinning your own hardware
The stock printer, filament and process are only the defaults. Enable
Change printer, Change filament, or the other sections below the rig, and
pin what you actually have. The pin replaces the default, and its Notes row
disappears.
