Filaments and plates the target drops
A target slicer sometimes holds fewer filament slots or plates than your file uses. Converting a file never drops one quietly: you choose which survive, or the choice is made the same way every time, and either way the Notes table names what was left out.
When the target keeps fewer filaments
Cura gives each filament its own extruder, so a Cura printer with one extruder keeps one filament. An eight-colour Bambu Studio file cannot bring all eight. preslice never picks for you: choose Cura and the Change filament row turns on by itself and cannot be turned off while the choice is open.
Ultimaker Cura keeps 1 of 8 filaments. Pick 1 to keep.
Click a source filament to keep it. The others then read dropped, and
clicking one of them swaps it in. If you press Convert before choosing, the
conversion asks the same question and converts nothing until you answer. The
choice is saved with the conversion, so reopening the file shows the slots you
kept, and keeping a different one offers Revert and convert.
PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and Creality Print keep every filament, even on a one-extruder printer, so they never ask.
After the conversion, the Notes table holds one row per filament that did not
make it, each naming its colour: Filament 2 · Bambu Lab PETG #7C4B00 · dropped · Ultimaker Cura keeps 1 filament.

PrusaSlicer 2.9 holds up to 9 beds
(MAX_NUMBER_OF_BEDS = 9). A tenth plate
and beyond convert to nothing, and the Notes table names them:

Cura keeps one plate. Its row sits under Change bed, and it shows for a
Cura target only: pick which plate survives the same way you pick which
filament survives, above. The rest drop, named the same way.
A PrusaSlicer 2.9 file with several beds reads the same way it writes: each bed is its own plate. Converting one to Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or Creality Print writes one plate per bed.
Per-plate settings that do not carry
Neither PrusaSlicer nor Cura has a place for a plate's own settings. A
plate's bed_type or print_sequence has nowhere to go on either target, so
the Notes table names it instead of dropping it without a trace:
