Bambu Studio to OrcaSlicer

Yes, and a full Bambu Studio project already opens in OrcaSlicer with no message. Converting aims the settings at the OrcaSlicer printer you pick.

Does OrcaSlicer open the file without converting?

A full project opens clean. A file with no settings gets The 3MF file was generated by BambuStudio, loading geometry data only. Convert first and the settings come with it.

What carries over?

Everything the Notes table does not name. Every plate and every filament carries. Modifiers and negative volumes keep their roles. Painted supports and seams keep their spelling, byte for byte. Layer ranges ship unchanged. Part settings are translated key by key, and object names and parts carry.

What changes?

The geometry repair step runs and finds nothing to fix, since both slicers write indexed meshes. The one row you may see is Filament-to-nozzle map / dropped / The target printer has one nozzle. It appears only when your file sets a nozzle map and the OrcaSlicer printer has one nozzle. The other shared losses are listed in what a conversion cannot carry.

Which OrcaSlicer settings will not come from my file?

Roughly 278 keys OrcaSlicer declares have no Bambu Studio counterpart, such as adaptive_pressure_advance. Each takes its value from the OrcaSlicer printer profile you picked, and from OrcaSlicer's own default where that profile sets nothing.

Is it the same going back?

Not quite. Bambu Studio has no field for those extra settings. See OrcaSlicer to Bambu Studio.
