OrcaSlicer to Bambu Studio

Same files, same names for everything OrcaSlicer inherited. What Bambu Studio has no room for is what OrcaSlicer added on its own.

What does Bambu Studio have no place for?

OrcaSlicer's own settings. adaptive_pressure_advance, input shaping, bed mesh probing and brim ears are declared in Orca's own PrintConfig.cpp and have no field in Bambu Studio, so they are not written into the converted file and its defaults apply instead.

What crosses without trouble?

Every plate, every filament, modifiers, negative volumes, support blockers, part settings, layer ranges and painted colours. Both slicers store all of it the same way.

Why did Bambu Studio call my file invalid?

Because the project named a printer it does not stock and its per-extruder settings did not line up with the nozzle count. Converting to a Bambu Lab printer settles both. See Bambu Studio says invalid config.

What happens to my calibration values?

A value Bambu Studio has no setting for is skipped, not guessed at. Retraction belongs to the printer, so it arrives from the machine you pick rather than from your file. See what a conversion cannot carry.

Which printer should I convert to?

A Bambu Lab machine, or the one you saved under My hardware. The whole profile is rebuilt from it, so check the Notes table for anything the new printer could not match.
