OrcaSlicer to Creality Print
Yes. Creality Print is an OrcaSlicer fork, so the file layout matches and the converted file keeps everything the layout holds.
Do I need to convert first?
Yes. Converting translates the settings into Creality Print's own key set.
What carries over from OrcaSlicer to Creality Print?
- Plates and filaments: every plate and every filament.
- Modifiers and negative volumes: carried as written, every role.
- Paint: the same bare spelling, so colour, supports and seams carry.
- Layer ranges: carried as written.
- Part settings: object names and part blocks carry, and each setting is translated key by key.
Are Creality Print's setting names the same as Orca's?
No. Creality Print has its own key set, not Orca's, so settings are
translated by key and not copied by name. About 91 Creality keys have no Orca
match, for example
ai_infill.
Each takes the value from the printer profile you chose, or Creality's
default.
What shows in the Notes table?
Only the shared rows: Placement when the bed size is unknown, and
Settings on <object> when a part's mesh is missing. See
what a conversion cannot carry.
Can I go back?
Yes. See Creality Print to OrcaSlicer.
