Getting started

Drop a .3mf or .stl anywhere on the window, or drop several files or a folder at once. Every file shows in the list, and one opens: its settings appear first, the mesh behind them.

What does each tab show?

  • 3MF Content: settings, filaments, plates and the 3D view. An STL opens in 3D View instead.
  • Security: six checks for known attacks.
  • Raw: every file inside the archive, as text.
  • My print settings: your printers and filaments, used by Convert.

The Content cards show the nozzle temperature, layer height, infill and walls, each under the name its slicer wrote, such as PrusaSlicer's PrintConfig.cpp. Use the search box to find any other setting.

What if a setting is missing?

The file does not carry it. A file exported from CAD has no settings at all. Some slicers leave out a value that matches their default.

What happens to an STL?

It opens as an STL in 3D View, with its mesh and no settings. Click Convert to 3MF to save a .3mf copy. That copy can be edited and converted to any slicer.
