3MF Content

The Content tab shows what the file holds, next to a 3D view.

An STL or OBJ opens in the same tab, named 3D View: the model, its stats and Mesh objects. Convert, Security and Raw need a 3MF.

What sections are there?

  • Print settings, with search.
  • Filaments, one per slot, with colour and material.
  • Build plates and build items. An item taller than the printer shows in red.
  • Mesh objects, with triangle counts, manifold status, Export STL, Export OBJ and Export all as OBJ.
  • Metadata, including the slicer that wrote the file.
  • Validation warnings from the file reader.

A section only appears when the file has something for it.

What does a mesh status mean?

manifold means the mesh is closed. non-manifold means it has holes, or edges where too many faces meet. not analyzed means the check did not run, so reload the page to retry.

What does the Weld button do?

A mesh with open seams shows a Weld button. Click it to close the seams. Downloading the file never welds a mesh for you.

How do I see one filament's settings?

Pick it under Show settings for. On a PrusaSlicer file, that also shows its extruder's settings. The boxes above follow the pick, and a two-nozzle file picks the nozzle too.

Why do settings look like code?

They use the slicer's own key names, like nozzle_temperature. You can search for the same name in the slicer's own source, such as PrusaSlicer's PrintConfig.cpp or Cura's fdmprinter.def.json.

How do I use the 3D view?

Click an object to select it. The cube buttons switch between solid, see-through and edge views. Edges are a slightly darker shade of the part's colour, lighter only on black parts.
