My print settings
My print settings holds what you own, plus your saved print profiles. Convert reads it, so a converted file fits your printer.
What can I add?
| Kind | Example |
|---|---|
| Printer | Bambu Lab A1 |
| Nozzle | 0.4 mm hardened steel |
| Bed | Textured PEI plate |
| Filament | Prusament PETG, in a colour |
| Calibration | Your measured values for one setup |
How do I add one?
Click Add printer (or nozzle, bed, filament). Search for your model, or
fill in the fields under or enter manually:. Type the words you know, in any order: bambu a1 finds Bambu Lab A1, and a small typo still finds it. The entry saves as you type.
A printer's Slicers row shows a badge for each slicer with a profile for
it: click Add slicer to add one.
What does 2 fields missing mean?
Convert needs those fields before it can use the entry. Hover the red label to see which ones. In the form, each one reads not set in red.
Why is a value red?
No slicer accepts it. Pick one from the field's list. Material and filament diameter take any value, so they never turn red.
Can I add the same filament twice?
Yes. Search for it again and pick it, then set its colour. A second entry in
the same colour reads Prusament PETG (2). Give it its own Name, such as Garage black, to tell the two apart. The
name stays in your browser.
Does search work offline?
It lists only the entries you saved. The catalog needs the server. If the server can't be reached, the list says so and still shows your entries.
What gets shared?
Your entries stay in your browser until you convert with one. Convert then sends the entries you picked. See what leaves your browser.
What is a calibration profile?
Your measured temperatures, flow ratio, pressure advance and retraction for one printer, nozzle, bed and filament. Convert applies them over any stock profile. Its Name defaults to the printer, nozzle and filament; type your own to tell two apart. Tune flow ratio on top surfaces: single-wall tunes differ between slicers. Pressure advance is OrcaSlicer's own field; not every slicer has one.
What are print profiles?
Every setting of one file, extracted so you can apply it to another file later. Click Add print profile, pick From file, and give it a Name; it defaults to the file's process name. Edit it in place: your changes update the stored profile, never the source file. Pick it on the Convert tab to apply it elsewhere, and the record stays in your browser.
How do I save a conversion?
After Convert finishes, click Save print settings in the Current card
header. It saves at once and you stay on Convert; My print settings shows +1
for a few seconds. If the save fails, the cause shows under the header.
What if a catalog entry is wrong?
Click Report an issue at the bottom of the tab. It opens your email app, addressed to feedback@lovlar.dev.
